Responsibilities
- Hire, recruit, train and assist all service and warranty employees
- Ensure the daily inventory of technicians' time is consistently sold to service customers.
- Distribute work between technicians efficiently.
- Monitor technician efficiency and shop proficiency for profitability
- Ensure all manufacturer warranty payments are received in a timely manner
- Act as a liaison between customer and manufacturer representatives and technicians
- Assist warranty clerk on submission of manufacture warranties
- Answer technical questions about vehicle problems, warranties, services, and repairs.
- Verify all technicians time cards
- Listen to customer's description of the problems of services needed to determine the type of service or repairs required and prepare estimates and invoices for repairs and parts
- Maintain Customer Success Index at or above company standards
- Assist in diagnosing vehicle problems; order parts and tools as necessary.
- Oversee administration of warranty claims as well as training and supervising of service department.
- Reinforces company policies and adheres to company standards.
- Encourages compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain good working relationship with factory(s) and foster positive employee relations.
- Oversee service orders and flow to ensure that customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service.
- Provide concierge support for all owner inquiries, whether phone or in person, to assure the customer does not get mishandled.

- Previous automotive service department experience a must
- Management experience required
