Position Summary :

The Payroll Specialist I supports the payroll team by processing timekeeping data for multiple operating companies.

Position Responsibilities :

• Support the team with exporting data from various timekeeping systems and importing into payroll system
• Assist with reviewing imported data for reasonableness and make adjustments as needed
• Provide support with posting batches in payroll system
• Assist with reconciling timekeeping systems with payroll system
• Communicate with OpCos to resolve timekeeping data questions
• Assist payroll team with special payments
• Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Skills and Experience :

• Timekeeping and payroll experience preferred
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Results-oriented with the ability to adapt to a changing environment
• Ability to analyze data with a strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Strong customer service orientation with a high energy level
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with a wide cross section of individuals
• Ability to work under pressure of strict deadlines
• Ability to work in a team environment

Physical Requirements :

Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, computer terminal and keyboard, facsimile, calculator, and understands computer basics.

Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
