SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant General Manager is responsible for the flow of information from and to the customer. The role is responsible for leading and coordinating operational activity between departments to help achieve company and site objectives. The General Manager II contributes to business results by managing the day-to-day planning and execution and continuous operational improvement in the following areas: Production, Inventory control, Scheduling, Customer service, Order fulfillment, Safety, HR, and Maintenance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
·Assists with daily management of personnel in Production, Warehouse, Maintenance, Planning, Account Management, and Fulfillment directly and through subordinate managers and/or supervisors in a continuous improvement environment.
· Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
·Develop productivity tools to optimize available resources to help meet quality and efficiency goals.
·Ensures all company corrective/preventative action and improvement plans are met.
·Helps to prepare and maintain long and short-range plans, objectives and develop budgets for facility success.
·Generates and reports to leadership on site-level KPIs that track operational effectiveness.
·Supports a facility vision that complies with Company objectives and Standard Operating Procedures.
·Fosters the site-level relationship with the customer while adhering to their specific needs and requirements.
·Audits the accountability of employees against established site processes and objectives.
·Supports Quality programs that instill personal accountability for accuracy, consistency, and completeness for all operations and departments.
·Drives accountability and continuous improvement through training, SOPs, and workflows to proactively improve quality, efficiency, and standardization.
·Assists with preparation for and participates in site regulatory and 3rd party audits.
·Complies with safety rules and ensures compliance with OSHA standards, and state and local regulations including FDA standards.
· Be an advocate for safe work habits, and a safe work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing company standards, GMPs, PPE requirements, and procedures.
· Strong technical experience with the ability to quickly learn new programs and applications to support operations.
· Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, management, team members, and other departments.
· Responsible for cross-communication between shifts.
· Performs required administrative tasks; prepares required reports and correspondence.
· Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area.
· Carries out management responsibilities per the organization's policies and applicable laws.
·Manage information flow to and from our customers and partners.
·Manage the health of the planning department.
·Key Point of Contact at the site for customers representing overall service
·Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
·Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain or Business (preferred)
·3 years of experience in an operational leadership role
·Excellent presentation and consensus-building skills.
·Proven record in continuous improvement and change implementation.
·3 years of experience in planning and scheduling
·Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and motivational skills
· Able to develop, coach, train, and counsel others.
· Ability to influence/collaborate cross-functionally and communicate clearly with managers, supervisors, and other team members.
· Must have a basic knowledge of lean manufacturing.
· General Professional Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English (bilingual a plus)
· Adhere to company safety standards.
· Attentive to detail, organized, and passionate!

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to: stand; walk; sit; use hands finger dexterity, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position requires work in both an office setting and a warehouse setting. Work occasionally requires “after-hours” communication or extended work hours, including weekend or evening work. Working conditions in the warehouse setting may or may not be environmentally controlled resulting in hot or cold temperatures. Employees will work in an area where there is moving warehouse equipment/parts.
