We have been serving hospital systems and physician offices in Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska for more than thirty-five years. Summary/Objective 
The CFO/Controller serves as the financial officer for Summit Pathology and related entities. Major responsibilities include developing and maintaining a strategic financial plan and annual operating and capital budgets; revenue cycle management; preparation of financial statements, in accordance with financial management; decision support; oversight of disbursements and receivables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, financial reporting, and internal controls. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to the partners and board of directors. Effectively communicate financial performance, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders.
  • Provide oversight of revenue cycle management activities, including billing, collections, reimbursement, and revenue optimization. Collaborate with revenue cycle leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement, maximize cash flow, and reduce denials or revenue leakage.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting principles, and healthcare industry standards. Implement and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial risks. Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations and reimbursement policies.
  • Provide financial analysis, modeling, and projections to support strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and business development opportunities. Assess the financial impact of proposed projects or initiatives and provide recommendations to senior leadership.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills
  • 5 years’ experience as Controller, Assistant Chief Financial Officer, or VP of Finance
  • Preferred experience as a finance executive in the medical field
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in fast paced environment and take appropriate action.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Salary range: $150,000 to $200,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
