This is responsible work, generally of a routine nature. Supplies parts and/or material as needed as well as other duties as assigned. Direct supervision is provided by the shift supervisor, but the routine nature of the work allows for reasonable independent work scheduling within prescribed guidelines.

Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices. Ability to pass color hue and color blindness test.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be physically capable of walking for the entire work shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Repeated bending and lifting during the shift.
- Must be able to wear steel-toe footwear.
- Adequate visual acuity to qualify for a forklift license.
- Must be able to operate a pallet jack for product movement.
- Must be capable of climbing ladders/stairs for material changes.
- Must be capable of standing for entire shift.
- Under general supervision is responsible for the following major tasks (check those that apply):
- Set up, operates, fills, empties, and identifies pre-dried hoppers, grinders, and similar equipment.
- Assures hoppers are refilled with proper material utilizing vacuum feeders or hand fill method to insure hoppers don’t run empty.
- Insure all cartons and packing material are at work stations as needed.
- Assists in operating presses including relief, set-up, color/materialchanges, and mold changes as needed and directed.
- Maintains general housekeeping.
- Gauging; training; and assisting other utilities including relief for breaks
- Insure product is placed in designated WIP stores
- Insure cartons are labeled per labeling procedures
- Maintain routes according to SLMS system
- Insures every tote is sampled for design intent and customer specification prior to going to WIP line per the OIS.
- Understands WIP trigger labels, how to complete and sequence Production Instruction Kanbans, and to set up Bead Board.
- Must maintain accurate productivity and defect information.
- Other work as assigned by supervisor.
High School Diploma or GED.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices. Ability to pass color hue and color blindness test.
- A minimum score of 16 on the Wonderlic Contemporary Cognitive Ability Test.
This position typically does not require any travel.
