We have an exciting opportunity open for an Accounts Payable Team Lead based in our Fort Smith, AR location.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The A/P Lead will report to the A/P Manager and be responsible for the daily flow of tasks into the A/P team and be the primary resource for questions and issue resolutions. This will work closely with other groups including Procurement, Fleet, Treasury, Engineering, Operations, and IT.  The A/P Lead will also assist with an SAP implementation, which includes testing and training team members and continually evaluate processes for improvements, as necessary.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee daily invoice processing functions for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed.
• Support A/P team to ensure all invoices are received and processed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with resolving any invoice or payment issues with the Procurement, Operations, Engineering, and IT teams
• Process payment runs in the system for all entities
• Provide information to Treasury related to cash needs for payment processing and other information requested for cash forecasting
• Ensure recurring payments (rents, leases, utilities, recurring fees) and process and paid timely
• Assist with interim and year-end audits.
• Lead unclaimed property and 1099 processes
• Become the primary person for systems and process knowledge. Lead resolution process for system issues and enhancements
• Train new team employees and new systems when implemented

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• At least 5 years of Accounts Payable experience required
• Team Lead experience a plus

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and meticulous analytical capability.
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes and standard business practices.
• Ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines.
• Ability to work in an office and remote office environment.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in the administrative aspects of middle management in a corporation including assisting in setting and communicating goals, delegating, providing feedback to employees, handling employee issues, providing employee recognition.
• Business partner mentality with ability to educate basic financial concepts to stakeholders.
• Strong ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects successfully while maintaining an even-keel approach and commitment to deadlines.
• Demonstrated success in consulting effectively with all levels of management including executives.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Oracle, PBCS, SAP S4/Hana, and Concur Invoice preferred.
