We have an exciting opportunity open for a Data Analyst I/II based in one of our locations in AR, MO or ME.
POSITION SUMMARY:
A Data Analyst assists in the daily management and maintenance of all enterprise reports, as well as the design and creation of queries to fulfill data requests. Successful candidates are self-driven, and comfortable with a fast-paced environment. They have the ability to resolve data quality issues that may be or become present. A Database Analyst II communicates daily with IT personnel for database needs, and personnel outside of IT for data requests and report needs, and therefore must be an excellent communicator. They must be able to work with Data Engineers to resolve data anomalies found in data pipelines. They must have the ability to teach business departments basic reporting skills to allow for self-service driven reporting.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze data in order to fulfill report and ad hoc data requests
- Design, create, and deliver fully functioning reports
- Provide schema and data assistance and guidance to Analysts
- Create and maintain best practice security policies for all reporting platforms
- Resolve data quality and anomaly issues within source systems, data pipelines, or target systems discovered by the business end users.
- Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate that into quantitative problems.
- Communicate data analysis findings with the business.
- Define common data segments, processes or event models.
- Document and Catalog data within the enterprise data structures.
- Building Enterprise Reports for upper management.
- Create business insights through data and reports.
- Teaching business departments to build reports for self-services.
- Host training for Power BI report building to business when needed.
- Utilize data in respective databases to build easily digestible dashboards
- Setting Power BI Report Standards
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science is preferred or combination of education and equivalent experience
- 2 years’ related experience in Database or Business Intelligence systems
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Power BI experience preferred
- T-SQL/SQL
- Moderate level knowledge of ETL Tools
- Friendly and effective communication skills are a must
- SAP experience preferred
- Problem-solving attitude

- Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical skills
- Data Modeling
- Azure environment experience preferred
- SQL Server/Oracle/Excel experience preferred
