What are the responsibilities and job description for the Observation Charge Entry position at Sumner Regional Medical Center?
Responsible for charge entry of observation hours, infusions, IV pushes, SQ/IM injections, and hydration for nursing units. Takes lead role in industrial billing related issues, as assigned, while working closely with Department Directors and contracted vendors.

Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent - Required

Licenses: CPAR Certification or previous experience in hospital billing/charging - Required. RHIT certification or RHIT eligible considered.

Minimum Work Experience
Three (3) years previous hospital or healthcare experience in Health Information Management, Revenue Cycle or Nursing - Required
Experience in hospital Outpatient Charging/ Billing and knowledge of CPT Codes - Preferred
