Systems Engineer Tier ll (Camdenton, MO.)

Job Description

The Systems Engineer supports our managed care customers by resolving network issues, configuration requests, and recommending/performing network improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain core components of Windows server infrastructure, including WINS, DNS, DHCP, File and Print services, Terminal Services licensing, and Active Directory
• Resolution of escalated hardware failures and server outages, including data recovery
• Manage anti-virus software upgrade, deployment, and maintenance
• Produce and maintain documentation of the server infrastructure and environment
• Research, analyze, and test new and revised network designs at the device and system level
• Manage and maintain a VMWare environment via support tools
• Provide VM server engineering support to application owners
• Assist with data backups and restores
• Perform troubleshooting analysis of servers, workstations, and associated systems 
• Manage user accounts, permissions, email, anti-virus, and anti-spam 
• Oversee software and network security 

Requirements:

• College Degree in IT or Computer Sciences or related fields 
• 3 to 5 years of direct experience in server engineering, server support, help desk, or network admin experience
• Technical certifications in the IT Industry 
• Microsoft MCSE (preferred) and VMWare VCAP-DCA
• Strong experience and working knowledge of Windows 2003/2008/2012 Server Operating Systems
• Citrix Presentation 4.0/5.x/6.5 server, including deployments, version upgrades, Secure Gateway and Web Interface configurations.
• Experience with Citrix MetaFrame versions XP and Presentation Server version 3.0 and 4.0 XenApp 6.5
• Strong experience and working knowledge of VMWare ESX5.x and general server virtualization and clustering technologies
• Experience with server automation and monitoring procedures and methodologies
• Experience designing Internet Firewall and DMZ environments
• Previous design experience with Palo Alto firewall products
• Previous experience designing secure network infrastructure solutions
• Detailed understanding of Next Generation firewalls and associated security mechanisms such as VPN, IPSEC and SSL
