Field Marketing & Demand Generation Manager
Role: Remote US or near office
Sumo Logic is seeking a high energy, motivated self-starter with experience in a fast paced public company environment to support our Field Marketing team. As the Field Marketing Manager, you will have a demonstrated ability to effectively plan campaigns and programs that will impact the Enterprise business in terms of generating and accelerating pipeline, supporting install base upsell and cross sell wins, all while maintaining a sharp focus with strategic partners. You will work across a demand generation team, be strategic in your approach, measurement driven and results oriented. You will have experience working in the region in close cooperation with sales, marketing, customer success and partner leadership teams and be able to communicate and present professionally.
You have strong expertise in crafting and executing successful demand generation programs while collaborating closely with a robust marketing team, sales, customer success, SDRs, and external partners and vendors. We are looking for someone who can take full ownership of integrated campaigns, uncover new opportunities, move quickly, and has a strong appetite for growth. You will align closely with the go-to-market teams with respect to demand generation goals as well as communicate programs and broader Marketing initiatives to create demand.
The ability to foster a healthy relationship between sales and marketing is essential. You value building strong relationships with Regional Sales Leaders and their teams. You also know sales enablement requires patience and consistency and you have a playbook to ensure your programs are successful. You are an advocate for the customer and have a passion for creating and building memorable event experiences. Comfort with and experience in a highly data-driven marketing organization is a must. What You’ll Do & How You’ll Drive Impact
- Optimize a high impact, scalable field marketing strategy that is aligned to pipeline, revenue goals and strategic partners for your region.
- Plan, execute and scale end-to-end demand generation programs, which include webinars, emails, nurtures, paid media, content syndication, etc.
- Build live and virtual events that are brand emotive and raise the bar for Sumo.
- Architect event playbooks including enablement launch kits to activate the Go-to-market teams to leverage your programs.
- Develop and execute innovative, multi-channel campaigns to drive MQLs and sales pipeline, while closely monitoring conversion rates and optimizing campaigns at each stage.
- Co create regional Thought Leadership programs like industry roundtables and executive Lunch & Learns
- Collaborate closely with marketing partners across regional campaigns, and leverage digital and vertical programs to drive in region pipeline impact.
- Lead field planning and execution for Sumo Logic hosted events and 3rd party industry event sponsorships, and targeted programs for our top-tier prospects and customers.
- Measure the effectiveness of programs in Terminus and SFDC on a regular cadence and report on results.
- Work cross functionally with multiple stakeholders across the Sumo Marketing team (Marketing Operations, Digital, Brand, Product Marketing) to help build and execute your programs.
- Align and support Regional Sales Directors with all Marketing resources available across teams.
- Manage the marketing budget for your core programs.
What You’ll Need To Be Successful
- 3-5 years experience across field marketing, event marketing, and demand generation
- Strong experience partnering directly with sales leadership and local sales teams to jointly pursue new pipeline, accelerate deals and close business
- Ability to work with Sumo Logic Partner community to build joint programs, campaigns and events
- Analyze Salesforce and Terminus reports and dashboards to understand your franchise’s named account lists, including location, industry and sales stage, and back into a marketing strategy that aligns with sales’ objectives
- Become 6Sense certified to have a sharp handle on account intent and signals
- Passion and ability to work well in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and under tight deadlines
- Managing multiple projects at once
- B2B enterprise software / SaaS marketing experience preferred
- Ability to travel 30% of the time in North America may be required
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Asana, 6Sense, Terminus, Salesforce.com, Slack
