We’re currently seeking an Industrial Painter who is experienced in applying paint, coatings, and other finishes to various industrial surfaces for our branch in Liverpool, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

• Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming as necessary.
• Paint Application: Apply paint, coatings, and sealants using brushes, rollers, spray guns, or other appropriate tools and techniques.
• Color Matching: Mix paint to achieve desired colors and textures, ensuring consistency and uniformity across surfaces.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished work to ensure adherence to specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to protect oneself and others from hazards associated with painting materials and equipment.
• Equipment Maintenance: Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot painting equipment to ensure proper functioning and longevity.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used, time spent, and any relevant observations or recommendations.
• Team Collaboration: Coordinate with colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders to meet project deadlines and achieve desired outcomes.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to painting and surface finishing.

This position works a day shift. We do work some nights, evenings & weekends as needed to accommodate a particular customer's needs. There is travel to job sites.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in painting or related field preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Proven experience as an industrial painter or similar role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in various painting techniques.
• Knowledge of different types of paint, coatings, and surface preparation methods.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations governing industrial painting operations.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
• Willingness to undergo additional training or certification as required by the employer or regulatory agencies.
• Must pass fit for duty physical with the ability to climb, twist, kneel, bend, push and pull without difficulty

Highly Preferred

• OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER certification
• Confined Space Entry Certification
• Use of Aerial Equipment and/or Scaffolding
