Sun Health is looking for a big-hearted, invested, and thorough Paralegal to join our vibrant team at our Administration office in Surprise, AZ.
Statement of Purpose: Seeking a paralegal/executive legal assistant who is ready and able to provide high-level assistance to the Vice President of Legal Affairs and one or more other executives in connection with tasks related to corporate governance, corporate regulations, corporate transactions and disputes, and everyday business matters.
Compensation: This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay.

Major Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparing and maintaining business and legal documents
- Directing and coordinating assorted legal and business-related activities
- Drafting written correspondence
- Proof-reading written documents to ensure the accuracy of all documents prepared.
- Researching public records and applicable law
- Managing business entity documents internally and with state agencies
- Filing corporate and legal documents with public agencies and the courts
- Assisting with responding to subpoenas and written discovery requests, including searching for responsive documents, organizing and Bates labeling materials
- Overseeing vendor contracts, invoices, time records and budgets
- Assisting with presentations, summaries and reports and preparation of spreadsheets, tables, diagrams, and PowerPoints
- Scheduling and arranging meetings and managing calendars and deadlines.
- Keeping Meeting Minutes, notes and preparation of memoranda summarizing the same
- Interacting with company vendors, business associates and other team members
- Making copies, sending e-mails, and arranging for deliveries by courier or messenger

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalency required, associate degree in paralegal studies preferred
- Minimum 5 years of work-related on-the-job experience performing paralegal related work either with a full-service law firm or in an in-house legal department
- Knowledge and experience working with written agreements and redlining and comparing drafts of the same
- Knowledge and experience with researching, preparing, and filing business and legal documents with the Arizona Corporation Commission and Arizona Secretary of State
- Knowledge and experience preparing, researching, and reviewing publicly recorded documents
- Knowledge and experience with Rules of Civil Procedure and filing court documents with the Maricopa County Superior Court and U.S. District Court
- Knowledge and experience assisting with responding to subpoenas and written discovery requests
- Familiarity with attorney time keeping and billing practices, procedures, and invoices, and with budget oversight
- Knowledge and experience managing business entity documents for corporations and LLCs internally and with state agencies
- Knowledge and experience generating and working with spreadsheets, tables, diagrams, and PowerPoints
- Knowledge and experience to perform legal research if needed and as assigned
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Familiarity with Excel and Westlaw
