The opportunity: As a market leader in Stop-Loss, and now with our expansion into health with the acquisition of PinnacleCare; we look to be known in the market as a leading provider of Health and Risk Solutions (H&RS); transforming our organization from a traditional stop-loss provider to a partner helping employers manage costs of their self-funded plan and members get the care they need. We are adding a Director, Business Effectiveness to drive execution of this transformation by successfully managing the development and implementation of large scale and highly complex operational initiatives that connect and optimize the performance of our claims, clinical, care navigation and second opinion services, to help drive market differentiation and achieve our Health and Risk Solutions business and Client/Member objectives and outcomes. How you will contribute: The Director Business Effectiveness is responsible for working with operations leaders and H&RS portfolio stakeholders to set the north star vision, OKRs and is accountable for ensuring delivery of value outcome results by aligning strategy to execution using lean and systems thinking approaches as well as applying a customer / client centric mindset. Develops and lead the execution of short- and long-term implement plans for new products or business solutions, with an eye toward improved efficiency, ensuring optimal performance and client/member satisfaction for H&RS Claims, Clinical, Care Navigation, and Second Opinion services. Manages project plans and ensure all work is executed in accordance with timelines. Develops and monitors key performance indicators related to operational performance and client satisfaction; conducts root cause analyses and remediation as needed. Collaborates with Compliance and Risk Management to ensure all operations are compliant with external Federal/State regulations and internal Sun Life Policies. Facilitates effective change management to enable a high-performance culture and drives adoption of new/revised processes and technology solutions. Develops and manages, ongoing reviews and progress reports, for H&RS Operations business and technology management teams Responsible for keeping sponsor(s) and leaders aware and appraised of progress, changes, and pivots. What you will bring with you: 10 Years of experience working in consulting, insurance, healthcare services, and/or clinical operations. Proficient in process improvement - SAFe, Lean Transactions and / or Six Sigma practices Strong track record of success in leading large scale cross functional projects, delivering value outcomes. Experience in analyzing and using qualitative/ quantitative data to drive consensus. Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Exceptional organizational and people skills Experienced in leading through influence / can manage without authority. Ability to anticipate and resolve problems before they arise. Skilled in facilitating remote / agile meetings with internal and external parties. Ability to think creatively to resolve, routine, complex and/or non-routine issues. If you are a California resident, the salary range for this position is: Southern region: 141,100-211,800 annually Central region: 148,800-223,300 annually Northern region: 159,100-238,700 annually If you are a Colorado resident, the salary range for this position is 134,700-202,100 annually. If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is 159,100-238,700 annually. If you are Washington resident, the salary range for this position is 148,800-223,300 annually.
