The opportunity:
The Associate Director, Mobile Engineering leads the activities of the development and support team involved in the design, development, deployment, and support of mobile applications. Provides management oversight of project activities and selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Ensures that production and development efforts are performed according to corporate standards and best practices, in alignment with business objectives, and are delivered on-time and within budget. Works with the IT Leadership team to set the directions, priorities, and dates for delivery of work. Ability to work with various levels of the business to deliver solutions that improve the business processes and deliver value.Plan, direct and manage the day-to-day operations of the application support and development activities; and direct the use of technical resources to support company goals.
How you will contribute:
Managing software engineering teams to design and delivery of high-quality software for critical business features, built on modern cloud technologies and work with product owners to influence technical roadmap and prioritizing key features
Provide technical leadership in AEM Cloud-centric digital solutions using both headless and traditional CMS approach. Lead solution architecture design, guide, and mentor teams to develop high quality solutions
Oversee, plan, and direct the activities of the application developers onsite and outsourced developers
Manage project and production releases and coordinate with production support and the testing teams
Drive and establish best development practices such as DevSecOps, CICD, application resiliency/failover/fault tolerance, application security, microservices, etc
Manages vendor relationships as needed to support IT application systems activities.
Leads application roadmap development.
Works closely with PMO and business to prioritize application development/support projects.
Assure overall project quality and ensure timely completion of deliverables
Establishes, implements, and documents the technology integration or migration strategies
Lead, manage and grow high performant engineering teams
Solid understand of agile and emphasis on planning, estimation, and backlog refinement.

What you will bring with you:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Hands-on expertise in core technology patterns such as authentication & authorization system (Okta), API frameworks (REST, GraphQL), persistence stores, and real-time messaging frameworks hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure
7 years of technical expertise in managing and building full stack mobile applications using cross platform technologies including React Native, C#, and Xamarin.
Strong experience working with matrix teams that consists of Business Analysts/Product Managers/Engineers/QA/Developers and contractor pool
Strong Azure and AWS DevOps and CI/CD Experience
Experience managing and deploying apps through the App and Play stores
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience in coaching and growing engineering teams
Experience within healthcare industry, including a payor or managed care organization or general insurance
Demonstrable experience with large-scale systems
Ability to reach sound decisions quickly
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and mentor others in a fast paced, complex environment
Ability to think strategically and tactically
Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation communications skills.
Process-oriented; Attentive to details and anticipating project management challenges.
Experience leading and successfully delivering complex initiatives, meeting quality and time expectations
Solid working knowledge of capabilities and direction of technology, coupled with an in-depth knowledge of the technology required and the needs of business environment necessary to support enterprise systems
Attends additional training as requested/deemed necessary
Preferred:
Flexible and adaptable with the ability to align to changing priorities
Adaptable to working on teams delivering in a waterfall or agile style
Customer obsession - customers are at the center of all we do
Cloud engineering experience
Experience with site reliability engineering for mobile applications
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Incumbent must be able to communicate effectively.
Requires overall light physical effort (up to 25lbs.)
Manual dexterity and sitting is required in carrying out position own position responsibilities (i.e. use of personal computer).
Ability to travel or move about within and outside serviced facilities required.
Incumbent works primarily in either a private or shared office environment.

Southern region: $135,900 - $202,300 annually
Central region: $142,200 - $213,300 annually
Northern region: $152,000 - $228,000 annually
If you are a Colorado resident, the salary range for this position is $128,700 - $193,100 annually.
If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is $152,000 - $228,000 annually.
If you are Washington resident, the salary range for this position is $142,200 - $213,300 annually.
