The opportunity:
Our release engineering team plays a critical role in supporting product development, security, and integration with hosting and network services. The team has an immediate opening for a DevOps Engineer whose responsibilities will include the design of automation patterns, implementation of DevOps middleware installations, configuration and application deployments, support of container technologies and orchestration platforms (Docker and Kubernetes), build and maintain container's images.
How you will contribute:
Introduce new DevOps best practices to our engineers and apply them to increase our client impact
Work within an energetic team to drive automation via Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and help design cloud-native applications
With Infrastructure as Code in mind, work towards refining or writing CI/CD pipelines for complete automation (including testing)
Design, deploy and maintain scalable, highly available, secure, and fault tolerant systems on AWS
Revise and/or propose solutions for continuous improvements in cloud cost management, health checks, security, monitoring and control
Assist teams with troubleshooting different layers of cloud-native applications
Analysis and design of technical processes and tasks for continuous improvement
Partnering with other infrastructure service teams to integrate dependencies and build automation pipelines
Participation in Agile project teams to address specific business requirements and support short development sprints
Develop automation to support security requirements and product version currency
Docker/Kubernetes deployment, configuration, scaling and management of containerized applications
Integrating container platforms with automated continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines
Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them
Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations
Create and maintain training documentation
Provide timely and effective communication to management, relating to quality, resource and project issues & concerns
Automate deployments by scripting application releases to run via command lines and build release tools from simple msi installations to complex multi-applications
Ensures all security and compliance guidelines for application release candidates are meet; application releases moving to production environments have been successfully tested, have adequate business approval and application owner signoff to proceed
Coordinates releases to production after non-business hours according to service level agreement guidelines serving as the primary contact. Assess the need for potential rollbacks during release implementation and obtain the necessary approvals to proceed.
Lead release management activities for improving current release practices, new processes and projects that drive value for the business.
Cross train operations staff and production support staff in application release automation tools.
Responsible to design and provide specifications for resources in Azure/AWS cloud or equivalent for multi-platform applications
Contributes to the design, implementation, and deployment strategies including on premise and Cloud applications
What you will bring with you:
7 years of software development work experience, with a focus on Infrastructure, Tools and/or DevOps
3 Years experience with AWS/Azure, Kubernetes, Pipelines etc.
3 years of experience with DevOps, CI/CD concepts
Strong Terraform skillset (HashiCorp Terraform Associate certificate is preferred) and familiarity with service principals and required permissions for deploying/modifying/maintaining resources.
Experience in Azure DevOps with pipelines/YAML, variable groups, environment and approval gates, CI/CD principals, Git branching/versioning/push/pull methodology
Familiarity with Azure RBAC, Networking deployments and troubleshooting (routing, nsgs, fws)
Strong IAM skills (AAD roles, service principals, APIs permissions) and security/governance skills
Experience building and maintaining containers such as Docker orKubernetes
Operating experience with multiple web-related middleware technologies
Application packaging or deployment experience
Proficiency in languages such as Python, Jython, ANT, SQL, WLST, various Unix shells (sh, bsh, ksh, bash), YAML.
Use of code management tools such as Bitbucket, Artifactory, Jenkins, and Ansible.
Installation and configuration of multiple web middleware products such as Weblogic, Websphere, Apache (IBM HTTP Server), Tomcat, IIS/.net Applications, IBM or Oracle Directory Server.
Understanding of networking configuration including DNS. Load ballancers, SSL, SSH, Firewalls and general network troubleshooting.

Southern region: $91,300 - $137,000 annually
Central region: $96,300 - $144,400 annually
Northern region: $102,900 - $154,400 annually
If you are a Colorado resident, the salary range for this position is $87,200 - $130,700annually.
If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is $102,900 - $154,400 annually.
If you are Washington resident, the salary range for this position is $96,300 - $144,400 annually.
