Purpose of Your Job Position
The primary purpose of your job position is to assist in supervision of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Maintenance Supervisor, to assure that our facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.
Administrative Functions
- Assume the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of supervising maintenance tasks.
- Supervise the day-today maintenance functions of assigned personnel.
- Assist the Supervisor in setting maintenance standards.
- Assist in developing procedures for performing maintenance tasks and determining frequency of these tasks.
- Assist the Supervisor in standardizing the methods in which work is accomplished.
- Assist the Supervisor in scheduling work assignments, preparing work schedules, etc. Revise as necessary.
- Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing maintenance assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
- Ensure that work schedules are followed as closely as practical.
- Submit accident/incident reports to the Supervisor on the shift in which they occurred.
- Perform administrative requirements (i.e., completing necessary forms, reports, etc.) and submit to the Supervisor as necessary.
