We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Human Resources to oversee all aspects of HR and culture to support all facilities. We offer FREE cell phones w/unlimited talk/text/data plans to all full time employees (restrictions apply).
Sun Mar Healthcare is a long-term care advisory and services organization for over 30 skilled nursing facilities and 1 assisted living facility. Sun Mar Healthcare has been in business over 30 years. Its function is to provide a broad array of services for health care facilities, such as providing human resources, marketing, clinical, accounting and other services for owners and/or operators of long-term health care facilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and tactical human resources support to management and employees.
- Develop client relationships with business leaders to develop strategic HR solutions
- Build upon an existing strong “inclusive” culture for all employees where people love coming to work, and ALL employees who excel have opportunities for career growth.
- Develop, implement, and own company-wide training programs and tools, including a learning management system.
- Leadership in employee relations and problem-solving and actively manage performance issues to resolution
- Ensure recruiting and development practices allow the organization to embrace applicants and employees of all backgrounds and permit the full performance of all employees
- Implementation and administration of HR programs and processes, including strategic staffing, performance and retention management, compliance with laws/regulations and assess progress against company EEO goals
- Continually assess the competitiveness of all culture-related programs and practices against relevant comparable companies, industries, and markets
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
1. Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
2. Computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel required) and Paychex (a plus).
3. Organization and Prioritization skills
4. Decision making skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.
At least ten years of human resources management experience required with strategic talent management and/or business development experience highly preferred.
Minimal Qualifications Education and/or Experience
- 5 years previous payroll/benefits experience.
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint required; Advanced experience with MS Excel preferred
- Excellent analytical skills to understand and complete reports
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Must be able think independently and anticipate needs
- Must be able to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality, integrity and discretion
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, highly-motivated, self-starter
