Junior Ski & Snowboard Instructor

The top ski resort two years in a row is expanding its Snowsports School! Our team is growing on all levels, and we are looking for a Junior Ski & Snowboard Instructor to join our team!

We are seeking candidates (ages 15-17) to assist a certified Senior Ski & Snowboard Instructor in teaching skiing or snowboarding during the Holiday Season, along with some weekend work.

Under the direction of the Mountain School Management team, the Junior Instructor assists instructors in coaching children in snow sports. The professional must be an ambassador for the resort and the sport. The instructor's primary responsibility is to ensure that children in their care are SAFE, have FUN, and LEARN.

Average pay is $16 per hour.

Junior Ski & Snowboard Instructor Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

·         Work closely and shadow a certified Senior Instructor in all areas according to individual student goals and abilities

·         Assist in teaching and demonstrating skiing/riding to classes in a safe environment using a variety of teaching and ski/ride techniques

·         Provide exceptional guest service while maintaining safety as a priority at all times

·         Work collaboratively with fellow employees and independently with groups of students

·         Attend training or shadow upper-level lessons

Junior Ski & Snowboard Instructor Qualifications:

·         Able to commit to working 22 days during the winter season

·         Junior Instructors: 15-17 years of age and a high school student at the time of hiring

·         Hired as employees that assist instructors

·         Advanced skiing and/or snowboarding skills

·         Passionate about mountain sports

·         Positive can-do attitude

·         Ability to succeed within an exceptional Guest Service Culture

·         Most importantly, students must really want to do this!
