Job Description Summary

Lead Cloud Engineer

Sunbelt's Lead Cloud Engineer is equipped for success so we can make it happen for our customers.

The Lead Cloud Engineer will be empowered to build and support progressive technologies to support our growing company. This role will provide analysis, recommendations, deployment, and support for current and future cloud-based initiatives. It leads and helps migrate applications, platforms, and infrastructure (compute, storage) from on-premises to private or public cloud utilizing IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS.

Education or experience that prepares you for success:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or equivalent work experience
8 years of experience spanning at least two IT disciplines, including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or operations,
3 years of experience in designing, executing, and supporting cloud solutions
Experience as a team lead is preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities you may rely on:
Cloud computing technologies across Windows and Linux, with demonstrated hands-on experience on:
Azure Core Platform: Compute, Storage, Networking (core need)
Security best practices including segmentation, least privilege access and etc
Monitoring, alerting and logging tools
Familiarity with Identity Access Management solutions
Familiarity with Web Technologies
Application migration experience
Demonstrated experience with azure cloud infrastructure

Networking: TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, DMZ, DNS, DHCP, switching and firewalls
