Job Description Summary
Position Objective:
In collaboration with Regional/District leadership, the Market Tool Manager will increase share of total addressable Tool Rental market by way of managing Tool Rental fleet, Rental IQ training, and increased dollar utilization of Contractor and General Tool inventory.
Position Responsibilities:
- Continuously review and improve the fleet mix in the marketplace to be more reflective of MHSI (Must Have Store Inventory) for Tool Rental at GT branches including Retail and Tool Rental Fulfillment Centers (TRFC).
- Provide continued Rental IQ training to all customer-facing positions in the marketplace.
- Grow dollar utilization in marketplace by way of managing Tool Rental fleet and continued Rental IQ training to achieve higher utilization.
- Provide guidance and support to Regional/District Leadership and assist Branch Managers and personnel to achieve fleet, training, and utilization goals of the marketplace.
- Assist Regional/District Leadership with the identification of branch expansion opportunities.
- Liaise with local leadership and Recruiting Department to scale up the recruiting and hiring of personnel.
- Manage, train and evaluate TRFC team members.
- Maintain adherence to Sunbelt safety protocol for all areas of responsibility.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus 5-8 years of experience in the rental equipment or construction industry, includes 3 years of Operations Management experience or related retail management experience
- Excellent supervisory skills
- Excellent knowledge of construction equipment required
- Understands basic knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, Internet/Intranet, and Wynne system
- Must be able to travel frequently within the market
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated success developing relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communicator with strong presentation skills
- Strong business and technical acumen, good analytical skills
- Good project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Physical Demands:
Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt's safety policies and guidelines. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.
