What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler - Yard (Novice) position at Sunbelt-Solomon Solutions?
- Daily forklift operations
- Loading and unloading trailers
- Putting units away
- Pulling units based on schedule and stagging for shops.
- Use tractors, hoists, and forklifts to load finished units unto outgoing trailers and unload semi-trailers.
- Assist other yard employees and yard work as needed.
- Build crates for some outgoing finished goods
- Unloads and loads materials with assistance.
- High School Diploma, required.
- Prior experience operating a forklift, preferred.
- Experience completing paperwork.
- Able to safely operate different types of tractors, forklifts, hoists, and overhead cranes.
- Able to work outside in all types of weather.
- Cooperative attitude towards all internal and external customers.
- A dependable and strong work ethic; works safely.
- Ability to learn other areas sufficient to fill in when/where needed.
