We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our team at a leading healthcare facility in Sugar Land, Texas. The successful candidate will provide safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals in the operating room during surgical procedures
- Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery
- Administer medications and anesthesia as required
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including sterilizing instruments and setting up equipment
- Assess patients' condition before and after surgery, including vital signs, temperature, and oxygen levels
- Document patient care in electronic medical records and accurately chart procedures and medications
- Educate patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-operative care
Qualifications:
- Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Texas
- Prior experience working in an operating room
- Ability to think critically and act quickly in high-pressure situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities effectively
- Knowledge of surgical procedures, medical terminology, and anatomy
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
