Responsibilities
- Responsible for restaurant concessions bottom line financial profitability;
- Comply with all Liquor and Labor regulations;
- Responsible for reinforcement of department and company standards through training including all Suncadia policies, procedures and safety regulations;
- Responsible for understanding POS system, updating changes and training staff in its use;
- Responsible for the correct administration and supervision of restaurant reservations;
- Responsible for the proper use of supplies, materials, and equipment;
- Responsible for maintenance of the wine program, adhering to corporate beverage programs, including the purchase, storage, inventory control and wine list incorporation of the restaurant and bar;
- Conduct employee hiring and training, establish employee standards, conduct evaluations of work performance, accurate and timely management of payroll and employee work schedules;
- Attends all meetings required of Department Leaders;
- Develop an atmosphere of professional friendliness and act as a representative of Suncadia to the public;
- Maintains a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction
- Assists with managing and providing leadership to all Food and Beverage Outlets
- Assists in the development and execution of new promotions, events, etc.
- Responsible for the service standards of the outlets
- Maintains strong knowledge of hospitality trends, especially in food & beverage
- Monitors Revinate scores, shares with team and ensures service standards are met
- Assists with scheduling and payroll for all outlets Adjust daily staffing levels as appropriate
- Provides prompt follow-up to all guest concerns
- Touches tables in all outlets in an effort to strengthen guest relations
- Maintains a safe and pleasant work environment
- Assists in managing Outlet F&B storage
- Works closely with purchasing to ensure proper cost control and quality product
- Recommends discipline and/or termination when appropriate of team members
- Attends appropriate resort, division and department meetings
- Resolves guest issues promptly and with great care and effectiveness
- Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Suncadia Resort including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest
- Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events
- Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
- Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude. Is always positive and keeps cool under pressure.
- Communicates all pertinent information to the outlets team
- Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons). Reports all safety incidents to Engineering and Manager on Duty. Logs needed repairs into HotSos.
- Ensures proper handling, cleaning and sanitation of equipment, china, glass and silver.
- Follows through on lost and found procedures. Absolute respect for guest property should always be exercised.
- Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Suncadia Resort dress code standards
- Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and team members at all time
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum two years’ experience in high end restaurant management, preferably in resort/hotel setting;
- Ability to work well with others and function well in fast paced environment;
- Knowledge of resort operations;
- Knowledge of food, beverage, institutional supplies and other resort equipment;
- Computer literate;
- High school education or GED equivalent. College degree preferred;
- At least three years of fine dining food and beverage experience preferred;
- Must be knowledgeable in wine and wine service;
- Thorough knowledge of cuisine and working knowledge of food preparation, dining room etiquette, service requirements, supervision, administration, and cost control;
- Have patience and maturity
- Must possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities;
- Ability to work well with others and function well in fast paced environment;
- Able to communicate well with staff and customers;
- Able to work flexible hours and days;
- Must be goal oriented;
- Knowledge of food and beverage products;
- Knowledge of bar controls;
- Knowledge of property-wide facilities and services.
- Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit;
- Must be 21 years of age or older;
- Must obtain a Class 12 Mixologist permit within 90 days of beginning employment;
- Current Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain one within 2 weeks of employment;
- Must be able to read, write and speak English;
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
