RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and maintain Technical Manuals (TMs) that meet contractual requirements and other business objectives, for the entire family of IVS’ military-grade products. TMs include both Operator Manuals and Maintenance Manuals.
Develop the content and layout of Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) for the entire family of IVS’ military-grade products.
Frequent interaction with IVS Program Managers, Product Managers, and engineers to ensure support documentation (TMs and QRGs) is accurate, complete, and updated as necessary.
Frequent interaction with other members of the Logistics Department to obtain part numbers, National Stock Numbers (NSNs), and other information needed to create Maintenance Allocation Charts (MAC) as well as Repair Parts and Special Tools Lists (RPSTL).
Frequent interaction with Government Integrated Product Team (IPT) personnel to lead TM Reviews and Validations to ensure successful Verifications that will lead to Government Authentication of MIL-STD Manuals.
Frequent interaction with IVS’ Graphic Design personnel to coordinate the development of illustration and other graphics requirements.
Direct liaison with IVS’ Purchasing Department and Printing Vendors to oversee the printing proof process.
Work directly with IVS’ Configuration Management Department to ensure support documentation is properly approved and controlled via internal Engineering Change Order (ECO) and Engineering Release (ER) processes.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing, Journalism, or equivalent Major and 6 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Proficiency and extensive experience writing both Operator and Maintenance Manuals that comply with MIL-STD-40051 (series) formatting requirements.
Proficient with MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic understanding of the tactical application for IVS’ products within the military and/or first responder operating environment.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage and prioritize numerous ongoing projects.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and communication skills.
Familiar with Adobe InDesign, Paint Shop Pro, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $80,700.00 - $100,017.00 per year
Schedule:
