What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Director position at Sunlight Medical Services, PLLC?
The Program Director is responsible for the day-to-day overall operation and management of the program. The Program Director will ensure quality services for program participants. Assures that all appropriate professional standards, licensing, and certification requirements for all staff are maintained as directed by CARF, state and federal agencies. Provides support to assigned program staff involved in licensing, accreditation, performance and quality improvement, clinical supervision, and clinical skills training.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Includes the following; other duties may be assigned)Clinical Supervision:
- Oversees behavioral health services and clinical supervision of clinical staff
- Monitors and reviews clinical documentation of clinicians assigned caseload
- May have a caseload of individual clients based on clinical need of area(s) of oversight.
- May assist with intakes, discharges, coordination of care, counseling, or other clinical needs of clients
- Provides support including direct clinical training and continuing professional development
- Implements and evaluates training programs for staff competence and for meeting regulatory agency guidelines.
- Monitor billing and to ensure proper billing is done
Other Areas:
- Prepares program for CARF survey readiness and accreditation process.
- Maintains program changes in clinical areas addressed by state, federal, CARF, DEA and other oversight agency needs.
- Manages outside agency inspections and assists in plan of corrections or audits (CARF, state, DEA, fire, and alarm).
- Provides new employee orientation and training. Ensures employees complete new employee and annual training requirements.
- Speaking presentations and representing the agency in the community.
COMPETENCIES
- Ability to train, clinically supervise and provide clinical oversight to behavioral health staff
- Knowledge of opioid addiction treatment medication including methadone, buprenorphine (Suboxone), Vivitrol, and other opiate treatment medications, is preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of CARF standards, DEA, and assigned state health services systems and regulations.
- Culturally competent and sensitive to individualized client treatment needs.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; skillful in both verbal and written communications.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Behavioral Health Licensed Professional credentialed (LCSW and LPC)
- Master’s degree in behavioral health-related field and combination of full-time behavioral health work and substance abuse setting experience
- Preferred four years of experience in substance abuse counseling, supervision, and training of behavioral health staff
