Job Description

Assist in the implementation of cost accounting methods and activities using LEAN methodology. Assist in preparing cost accounting reports for presentation to top management. Responsible for the accuracy of cost data and maintaining records for inventory and cost accounting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

1. Assist in the maintenance and improvements to the standard cost systems, policies, procedures and methodology to ensure timely and accurate reporting of inventory and cost of goods sold.

2. Analyze cost records to determine area of opportunity to reduce costs and improve the profitability of the company.

3. Responsible for the accuracy of cost data and maintaining records for inventory and cost accounting.

4. Project cost data for preparation of operating budgets.

5. Reconcile perpetual inventory to general ledger control accounts.

6. Analyze and monitor inventory transactions.

7. Assist in monthly financial closing process by calculating and providing all cost accounting related entries within the closing schedule timeline.

8. Maintain the cycle count program for inventory including test counts.

9. Provide and assist in cost accounting functions during audit.

10. Calculate the surplus and obsolete inventory levels.

11. Assume other projects and assignments as directed.

Pay: $68,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
