Freight Broker/Freight Sales Agent

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cradle to Grave Freight Broker to join our team. This is a full-time position responsible for managing the entire freight brokerage process from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in the transportation and logistics industry, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, solicit and secure new business opportunities for the company
• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers and carriers
• Negotiate rates and service levels with carriers to ensure the best possible service for our clients
• Create and manage load boards and dispatch freight to carriers
• Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that may arise
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients to ensure their satisfaction
• Continuously monitor market trends and carrier availability to ensure the company remains competitive
• Attend trade shows and networking events to promote the company and its services
• Work closely with the operations team to ensure all shipments are handled in a compliant and efficient manner.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in freight brokerage
• Strong knowledge of transportation industry regulations and compliance
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
