Practice Overview

Here at Sunny Speech Inc., we provide comprehensive speech and language evaluation and therapy services to children under the age of six as well as lactation counseling. We are unique as we provide these services in our patient’s homes and/or schools in order to educate all caregivers. Our team consists of passionate speech language pathologists who love to collaborate with each other in order to reach our goals! We believe in the power of education for not only our patients but for ourselves. Due to this, we offer continuous education opportunities as well as a mentorship program if desired. What You’ll Be Working On

  • Complete initial and regular patient assessment and reassessment in a timely manner
  • Develop individualized plans of care based upon evaluation and reassessment
  • Treat young children and infants in their homes, daycares, teletherapy, or in our office
  • Educate parents and teachers in how/why skills occur, keep detailed records relating to patient conditions
  • Assess patients regularly, monitor progress toward treatment goals, modify plans as needed
  • Identify opportunities and provide recommendations for corrective action and process improvement
  • Promote a positive work environment in multiple settings—child’s home, daycare/school, or via teletherapy

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program is required
  • Licensed in the state of Florida for Speech Language Pathology required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in SLP is required
  • Minimum of four years of experience required
  • Experience or interest in working with infants and young children required
  • Previous experience working in private practice or hospital setting preferred
  • Credentialed or able to get credentialed with Medicaid health plans preferred
  • Highly motivated with a demonstrated passion for growth and development
  • Self-starter with a strong level of leadership, accountability, and critical thinking skills
