Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service in a healthcare setting. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting with food preparation, handling, and serving meals to patients and residents. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety will contribute to the overall well-being of our patients.
Duties:
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients
- Follow recipes and dietary guidelines to ensure meals meet specific nutritional requirements
- Serve meals to patients and residents in a courteous and timely manner
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils according to established protocols
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and notify supervisor when restocking is needed
- Assist with dishwashing and kitchen cleanup as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or special requests from patients or residents
Experience:
- Previous experience in food service or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, residents, and staff members
- Excellent time management skills to ensure meals are served on schedule
- Familiarity with working in a hospital or nursing home setting is a plus
- Culinary training or experience is beneficial but not required
