CORPORATION: Sunol Hills, LLC, is a partnership providing mental health services. Services include crisis, transitional residential treatment for clients with eating disorders.
DEFINITION: Under the supervision of the Owner, plan, develop, implement, evaluate and promote a 6-bed residential treatment facility for clients with Eating Disorders. The program's primary goal is to divert clients from hospitalization or step down clients from inpatient treatment. The Clinical Director is responsible for overseeing all matters relating to client-related/clinical issues in compliance with: 1) state and federal regulations; 2) Sunol Hills, LLC Policies and Procedures; and 3) contractual agreements. This is an exempt position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

- Provide clinical supervision to all staff, including practicum students and interns.
- Oversee and monitor compliance with Sunol Hills, LLC’s expected clinical standards.
- Oversee all admissions and discharges. Plan and implement admission and discharge procedures and program rules and guidelines. Assist in the documentation and transfer of info necessary for continuity of treatment and assist in monitoring the maintenance of client files and records necessary for audits and funding reimbursement
- Establish and maintain linkages with Insurance companies and Community programs and set up problem solving sessions when needed.
- Oversee the development, implementation and appropriateness of all individual treatment plans, conferring with the staff psychiatrist and other professionals involved in a client's treatment.
- Assure that all clients are actively and strategically involved in the development and implementation of their individual treatment and discharge plans.
- Oversee treatment team activities for appropriateness.
- Develop resources for the program.
- Recruit and screen potential clinical trainees and provide individual supervision.
- Oversee the integration of new treatment modalities recommended by the Clinical Standards committee.
- Assure liaison with other agencies and groups as appropriate to maintain linkages necessary for treatment.
- Assist Program Administrator in conducting regular staff meetings.
- Provide direct clinical services, including group and individual therapy and family therapy.
- Assure good community relationships with business, neighbors, former residents, family members of residents and community understanding of the program.
- Attend meetings of Clinical Directors/Administrators.
- Develop cross-cultural awareness of a culturally diverse client population, and apply appropriate interventions in assisting them with any socio-cultural issues.
- Assure client safety at all times.
- Ensure community safety by monitoring the whereabouts of all consumers/ residents at all times, no exceptions.
- Coordinate with Program Administrator in the planning and implementation of datly programmatic activities, i.e., one on one, groups:(therapy, substance abuse, living skills, etc.) that are required to assist clients in crisis.
- Possess an in-depth clinical understanding of Eating Disorders to facilitate coordinated and supportive treatment approaches.
- Provide on-call coverage at all times for the program and for other Sunol Hills, LLC Programs, as requested.
- Be knowledgeable in all legal and ethical laws and rules which govern professional field, to include Tarasoff, confidentiality, abuse, suicide, and be responsible for assuring boundary maintenance between staff and dients.
- Complete personnel required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
- Attend and participate in all meetings, client conferences, staff meetings, program planning meetings, linkage meetings, and others as required by the supervisor.
- Must obey all federal, state, and local laws and Sunol Hills, LLC Policies and Procedures.
- Comply with the Sunol Hills, LLC policy requirement to submit proof of valid CDL, maintain good driving record, and submit proof of auto insurance for the current period of coverage.
- Requires driving own vehicle to transport consumer(s) when a program vehicle is unavailable, or when medical appointments or referral for client services is required.
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
Professional License Required: Licensed Psychologist OR Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Education Required: Masters Degree/ Doctorate Degree in social, health, behavioral sciences or related field required.
Experience Required: Five (5) years experience post-licensure; at least three (3) years experience specifically in working with Eating Disorders clients. Experience in residential treatment is an asset. Bi-cultural/bi-lingual experience is an asset..

- Physical Environment and Tools: This role is performed in a 24-hour rehabilitation/clinical environment. It requires the use of standard office equipment, such as phones, fax machines, computers and filing cabinets. The job is sometimes performed outdoors, e.g, taking clients on slow, short walks, weather permitting. Must be able to drive safely in heavy traffic and inclement weather.
- License Required: Must have a valid California Driver’s License in good standing with proof of auto insurance.
