Description: Develops and designs the aesthetics, visual design and/or layout of product artwork, component design, marketing materials and packaging to enhance product image. Collaborates with project teams to plan, analyze, organize and execute assigned projects. Diagnoses, by meeting with employees, consultants and/or vendors, to assess effectiveness of product imagery and presentation needs. Manages relationships with external sources relating to design issues. Requires knowledge of industry relevant multimedia software. Summary of Role: SunPower seeks a Senior Art Director for our Creative Studio team who will be responsible for supporting the overall efforts of our in-house creative resources and external vendors. The role includes conceptualizing, developing and delivering innovative and strategic solutions for all assigned projects (Sales tools, brochures, videos, trade show materials, etc.). Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: Produce exceptional creative work Adhere to, constantly review and improve Creative processes Support the overall efforts of the creative team; collaboratively execute innovative creative projects through solid brand strategy; ensure projects are completed within prescribed timelines and budget parameters Contribute creative concepts and designs as well as evaluate designs/concepts developed by other team members and external vendors Ensure that high quality creative projects are delivered with a strong attention to detail Study the creative marketplace; stay current with trends and innovation Translate and extend the brand look and feel, brand identity and style guidelines with the team Prepare design presentations including mock-ups, storyboards and PowerPoint summaries Plan and lay-out artwork for assigned projects; provide clear instructions and prepare final layouts for production in a clean and organized file format Manage project organization for all projects; oversee the archiving of design assets Collect, read, interpret and use related project briefs to deliver innovative creative with solid brand strategy Deliver - in a clear, concise and direct manner - professional client presentations that are engaging, visually compelling, persuasive and supported by a sound rationale and strategy Required to work extended hours when necessary to support the design team in meeting deadlines Preferred Requirements: Comfort under pressure and adept at creative problem solving, setting and maintaining appropriate expectations, and communicating complex concepts A drive for excellent work that fuels your passion to deliver only the highest quality outcomes in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Negotiation skills and flexible outlook Perfectionist attention to detail and exceptional quality standards Proven ability to execute on marketing projects effectively and cross the finish line Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Experience working with outside vendors such as design agencies, copywriters, photographers and videographers Proven strong relationship-management skills: able to successfully relate to people at all levels of business; capable of forming and maintaining strong relationships and partnerships Skilled in the use of Mac OS, Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat) at an advanced level; Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) at an intermediate to advanced level Animation/video editing skills in After Effects a bonus! Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and 10 years of related experience Postgraduate coursework is desirable OR equivalent combination of education and years of related experience Don't meet every single requirement?
