Title: Senior Network Engineer

Location: Hybrid - Plymouth, MN (Onsite: 3 days/week)

Duration: 6 months contract (Potential to extend Contract to Hire)

Note: The candidate should be fine to work onsite from day one.

Job descriptions:

Our client is looking for a Sr Network Engineer who can drive the network as a platform. They need someone who can work the requirements as well as the technical architecture and design in a networking perspective.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and enhance Cisco Wired, Wireless LAN, WAN, network, network security, Cisco firewall in collaboration with vendors, stakeholders, Network Engineering, and partner teams.
  • Develop solution designs, support design reviews, and issue change requests to service suppliers while adhering to service lifecycle and technology roadmaps.
  • Collaborate closely with network architects on wired and wireless design initiatives.
  • Analyze data to diagnose and identify root causes of network-specific events.
  • Design, monitor, analyze, and report metrics for wired and wireless solutions.

Must Haves:

  • Expertise with Cisco routing, wired, and wireless technology.
  • 7 years of hands-on experience with network protocols and concepts.
  • 5 years experience with enterprise routers, firewall, switches, SDWAN, and wireless controllers (Cisco/Catalyst/Viptela)
