Dental Assistant

Sunridge Dental is a small privately owned dental practice. We are extremely family and patient focused. We genuinely love to get to know our patients and treat them as family. Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Take dental x-rays
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Skills:
- Proficiency in patient assessment, including taking vital signs and medical history
- Knowledge of dental assisting techniques, such as instrument sterilization, tray setup, and dental materials handling
- Experience with Dentrix is a plus
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry
- Ability to assist with aseptic technique during dental procedures
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail
