Millwright - Sunrise FS - Havana, Illinois
Sunrise FS is headquartered in Virginia, Illinois with branches in Mason and Cass counties. Sunrise FS has about 200 employees (including seasonal workers) and approximately 2,500 customers. The cooperative does business in agronomy, energy, grain, tires, irrigation, and retail. Sunrise FS is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada.
PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
This position entails the installing and maintenance of machinery and equipment to Sunrise FS’s Grain and Fertilizer System, including troubleshooting mechanical failures and pneumatic and electrical systems. It requires the operation of hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools in the effort to repair, rebuild, and maintain elevator and fertilizer operations. It may also include the installation of material systems and fabrication when necessary.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Gain a thorough knowledge of the equipment used in the operation of grain elevators and/or vehicles.
Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain a preventative maintenance program on machinery and equipment.
Work with grain elevator dryers, drive and conveying systems, electrical and control systems, hydraulics, hoists, jacks, welding, fabrication, and industrial equipment installation.
Be able to repair small electrical problems.
Able to climb ladders daily to heights generally ranging from 4ft-25ft.
Maintain a safe and sanitary workplace. Promote safety amongst customers and employees.

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply
Must maintain a high level of customer service.
Communicates daily with Facility Manager and/or Assistant. Manager to coordinate repair work.
Maintain the general appearance of the facility to include elevator, grounds, buildings etc. Includes location upkeep of yard work such as mowing and trimming.
Load and unload barges as needed.
Able to drive and operate elevator equipment. Skid Steer, Front-End Loader, Excavator
Good communication skills with customers and fellow employees.
Exhibit regular and prompt attendance. Exhibit a professional image and maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
Ability to work extended hours including weekends, seasonal hours, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Able to work under time constraints.
Must have a general mechanical ability.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 3 or more years of related work experience as maintenance/millwright.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving[H(A1] record
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and mechanical skills.
