JOB OPEN DUE TO EXPANSION
PRIMARY ROLE
Sunrise Clinical Services is a multidisciplinary substance abuse recovery services facility in the heart of Essex County, New Jersey where patients receive comprehensive and compassionate care for substance abuse disorders specializing in opioid use.
· Directly responsible for overseeing and managing clinical treatment including documentation compliance and operational flow of clinical services.
· Ensures agency compliance with all Federal, State, and County regulations, program requirements, and accreditation standards.
· Assists with the CARF accreditation survey process and does what is requested, ensures operationalizing clinical policies & procedures to meet CARF standards as directed by Executive Director.
· Assists with keeping track of obtaining prior authorizations on time and coordinating with clinical staff to complete ERLs (Extension Requests for LOCI).
· Assist with securing and implementing and operationalizing FFS, co-occurring, DUI, IDRC programs or designations.
· Provides weekly supervision for CIs (Counselor Interns) who are registered for the Board to complete 3000 hours to become a CADC/LCADC. Documents supervision weekly for all CITs. Those who have had CADCs over 5 years, are only required documented supervision 2 times per year.
· Applicants must have experience in running a Medicare/Medicaid facility.
CLINIC HOURS OF OPERATION
- Monday - Friday 6 AM - 2 PM
- Saturday 6 AM - 1 PM
- Sunday 8 AM - 12 PM
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, or related field.
- Five years’ experience in substance abuse treatment, two of which includes supervisory experience.
- An active New Jersey LCADC license.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assures the integration of the mission, values, and treatment philosophy of the agency into daily operations.
- Adheres to implementation of policies and procedures, organizational plans, and assists with quality assurance measures, as assigned by the Executive Director.
- Ensures that the behavioral and pharmacologic approaches to treatment are evidence based or based on objective information to provide treatment services consistent with recognized treatment principles and practices for each level of care and type of patient served by the program.
- Provides or ensures, and documents, that direct clinical supervision is provided.
- Ensures that clinical services are provided as specified in the patient treatment plan, and coordinated with other patient care services, if applicable, in order to provide continuity of care.
- As applicable, ensures that the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients with co-occurring disorders is provided by appropriately trained and qualified clinical staff, and that the clinical supervision of such staff is provided.
- Provides orientation and evaluation of new clinical staff.
- Ensures that all clinical staff are properly licensed or credentialed in accordance to State regulations.
- Participates in the identification of quality care indicators and outcome objectives and the collection and review of data to monitor clinical staff and program performance.
- Assists in planning and budgeting for the provision of substance abuse counseling services and conducts utilization review with the Billing Department to coordinate clinical and billing issues.
- Provides supervision and evaluates job performance of Clinical Staff in coordination with Executive Director.
- Carries a clinical caseload in the role of Substance Abuse Counselor.
- Tracks and oversees agency census and financial authorization of services and reports information and trends to various departments such as billing, clinical staff, and Executive Director.
- Completes ERLs (Extension Requests LOCI-NJSAMS) to assist in obtaining prior authorizations.
- Attends professional conferences, trainings, as appropriate and/or required to maintain licensure (i.e. LCADC) as approved by the Executive Director.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director or the President.
