Job Description
POSITION TITLE: Outreach West Program Director
REPORTS TO: Chief Programs Officer (CPO)
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Supervises the Outreach West Program Assistant, DVSV Advocate, Children’s West Advocate, Community Connections Program staff, DVCW Coordinator.
RELATIONSHIPS: Maintains a positive working relationship with all Sunrise programs/employees as well as our community partners.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Provides crisis intervention and advocacy and empowerment support to survivors of domestic and sexual violence. 35%
- Provides programmatic direction for supervised outreach programs.10%
- Provides monthly supervision for staff and completes appropriate supervision forms and annual evaluation. 5%
- Functions as a liaison between Outreach West, Outreach East and the Shelter. 2%
- Works with the CPO on program development and outcomes. 10%
- Receives and handles office maintenance request. 1%
- Works with staff in determining staffing patterns that best enhances Sunrise services. 5%
- Responsible for content and collection of statistical information and reports for supervised programs. 20%
- Facilitates and administers Outreach service Policies as per Program Policies and Sunrise
Procedure Manual. 10%
- Attends meetings and provide trainings as indicated. 2%
- Other duties as assigned by the CPO.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
- Provides community education/awareness to schools, civic groups and other interested parties on identifying and helping victims.
- Maintains active community involvement as it relates to services.
PROHIBITED FUNCTIONS:
- Does not respond to media requests.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum of two years’ experience in supervision of programs and personnel
- Minimum of two years’ experience working with victims of domestic and sexual violence
(preferred)
- Bi-lingual (preferred)
- Ability to interact in a professional manner with members of other agencies
- Must be able to work independently and as a team member
- Must be able to organize, prioritize and use time efficiently
- Excellent communication skills
- Must pass screening by FDLE and Pasco County Sheriff’s Office
- Maintain professional training hours
- Must be able to work with a culturally diverse community with sensitivity and professionalism
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $43,000.00 per year
