Job Description Lead flow controller model development based on the first principals of fluid mechanics and gas dynamics that accurately represent transient response in flow controller systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Independently develop models based on the first principles of fluid mechanics and gas dynamics that accurately represent a net flow of compressible flow components in a flow control system. Apply model to contribute to control system and control algorithms development.
Lead modeling development of flow controller physics coupled with advanced controls. Be able to develop models from concept to completion, independently develop from pencil and paper to code implementation using sustainable practices. Be comfortable troubleshooting and teaching others how to use and develop controls from modeling.
Lead rapid development & productization of key flow control mechanical components such as laminar flow restrictors and valves navigating IP and developing manufacturable design.
Lead development of key flow modeling, control algorithms, and gas mapping critical to our Flow Control products
Apply engineering principles of fluid mechanics, mass transfer, thermodynamics, and control systems to formulate experiments and interpret their results.
Review engineering drawings and Develop specifications.
Obtain understanding of assignments including special requirements and schedule for completion.
Coordinate with counterparts in other departments as needed keeping engineering manager informed.
Provide sketches for drafting, complete with respect to details requiring engineering input.
Ensure that device design, component selection, manufacturability and test methods meet product needs.
Contribute significantly to design controls documents, test plans and test execution.
Perform other duties assigned by director as needed.
Work independently with minimal supervision
Desired Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Strong understanding of chemical and mechanical engineering principles. Ability to exercise discretion/independent judgment.
Strong coding ability in MATLAB/Simulink, C/C , VBA, and LabVIEW
Leadership ability to independently drive projects and articulate ideas and mentor more junior engineers.
Ability to interact with internal and external customers.
Technical expertise in the development and commercialization of systems used in semiconductor flow delivery.
Experience with Object Oriented Programming & Version Control Software
Working knowledge of design controls, and quality systems
