Job Description :

Job Title : Planner / Scheduler II

Location : Rochester, NY

Duration : 12 months on contract

7 : 30 4pm, Mon Fri

Working mainly in office using SAP and spreadsheets, with frequent trips to the shop floor to count / check inventory and bring out job paperwork

Interview is in person (yes)

Production Planner

Responsible to keep the factory working on jobs that are needed to fill customer orders on time.

Creates jobs (work orders)

Reviews created jobs for possible shortages. If shortages exist, escalation to buyers to resolve the shortages.

Prints and Releases jobs to the production floor. Prioritizes hot jobs.

Periodic Cycle Counting of subassemblies and other inventory.

Scheduling to determine the proper amount of subassemblies built to support jobs.

Applies Engineering Change Orders appropriately.

Uses SAP ERP system on a very routine basis to perform work as described.

Understands the product configuration and the BOM as it relates to planning

Key Experience Needed :

Production Planning experience in a manufacturing environment, 1 year mandatory
