Position Summary
The Hot-Tub Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to include the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of owner/client hot-tubs according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. This position requires the technician to ensure hot tubs are cleaned and prepared for use upon the arrival of guests and/or owner arrival.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Always represent Sunset Lodging in a positive and professional manner.
- Accurately record time worked, adhering to company timekeeping guidelines.
- Diagnosing problems and determining necessary work or repairs needed.
- Performing regular preventive maintenance on hot tubs.
- Ability to complete water chemistry testing, balancing, and cleaning.
- Draining, re-filling, and cleaning of hot tubs.
- Operate a leaf blower to clean around deck and hot-tub areas.
- Inspecting, repairing, and replacing hot tub jets, pumps, equipment, etc.
- Detecting faulty operations and defective material and reporting those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
- Strong sense of time and productivity management.
- Establish and maintain a collaborative working relationship between departments and all co-workers.
- Constantly strive for improvements in work processes and results to better meet owner and guest needs.
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High school diploma/GED and hot-tub experience preferred.
· Flexible in scheduling; able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Must be available for on-call shifts.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Must be highly motivated, able to work independently, and willingness to learn new skills.
- Willingness to work in all types of weather conditions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, in some instances this job may require work in areas where ear protection is necessary. This job requires repeated use of the hands, fingers, and feet. Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors, which includes working in all types of weather conditions.
