Job Summary
The Pool Server is responsible for greeting guests, serving food and beverages, upselling, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the pools, while providing excellent guest service and creating a memorable guest experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Maintain confidentiality of guest and hotel information.
- Assist guests with selecting food and beverages by suggesting items, explaining the chef’s specialties, identifying appropriate beverage pairings, and answering food preparation questions.
- Efficiently receive guest orders paying attention to special requests or needs (i.e. allergies) and input them into POS system. Communicate special requests to the kitchen to ensure correct outcome
- Retrieve guest orders from the kitchen and deliver to pool guests.
- Perform basic bartender skills- follow recipes for a limited variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Responsible for maintaining visual appearance and order of work areas. Clear and remove soiled towels; re-set chaise lounge chairs with towels; clean and sanitize tables; re-set tables with menu.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.

Essential Skills, Experience, and Education include:
- High school diploma or GED; or 1 year of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Luxury hotel and/or luxury residence experience is a plus.
- High volume/ fast-paced environment experience preferred.
- Proficient in English- verbal and written.
- Food Handlers card is required.
- Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) Certification is a plus.
- Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification is a plus.
- Aloha PMS experience is a plus.
- Must have flexible work availability- all shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements include:
- Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
- The employee will frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
