Production Buyer Planner
Sunset Vans, one of the largest mobility dealerships in the U.S., is looking to add to our administrative team. This individual will work with our Assembly Manager and be responsible for the following, coordination with production scheduling and buying of all materials.
Our ideal candidate is someone who can oversee buying and scheduling with a high level of accuracy and persistent follow up to ensure our customers are provided a high level of service. Attention to detail along with a sense of urgency is a must.
Essential job duties:
- Purchasing materials, while creating purchase orders
- Monitor lead time and inventory levels, recommend improvements in inventory control processes to streamline assembly
- Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory
- Price shopping / costs cutting
- Maintain clean organized stocking areas with assistance from Assembly team
- Source new products for new product development
- Develop weekly production schedules consistent with business objectives; to support production goals
- Manage scheduled sales order ship dates to meet customer needs; team with internal groups to improve on time fulfillment to customer request dates
- Work order preparation for Assembly team
- Assist the team to improve manufacturing capacity, planning processes and implementation
Qualifications:
- High school diploma but some college preferred
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and an attention to detail
- Two or more years of buying experience
- Computer literate and proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive etc.
- Multitasker in a fast-paced environment
- QuickBooks experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
