Come join our growing team in Laredo, TX! Due to expansion, we are currently seeking a Shipping Supervisor. In our refrigerated facility that operates 24/7, you will oversee the shipping of our greenhouse grown tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers to our valued customers in a timely and safe manner. This role reports to the Manager, Shipping
Full-time shifts: Thursday - Saturday & every other Wednesday - (night shift)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Follow commodity specialist allocations and change orders; ensure product is slotted/shipped correctly.
- Utilize NAV-JDA ERP system to track, analyze and route orders; conduct analysis, run reports, enter data.
- Inspect labels, barcodes and other components of a completed order.
- Supervise and oversee the work of employees on your shift.
- Create regular reports and statistics as requested by the manager.
- Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information, as well as other Company data, including personal information.
- Responsible for maintaining the spirit of teamwork and productivity among fellow maintenance personnel in accordance with Mastronardi Produce
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics Management, Business or related field is preferred. Will consider work experience, in lieu of a degree.
- A minimum of 3 years’ work experience in a shipping/receiving or related environment; food industry experience is preferred. Previous experience in a production environment is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a lead or supervisory role.
- Possess leadership skills with an emphasis towards respect and professionalism as you interact with employees, customers and vendors.

- Computer proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point; with adaptability to learn new systems quickly. Experience with NAV ERP a plus.
- Assist with warehouse needs as requested by management
- Must be a self-starter and willing to work flexible hours; rotational shifts, weekends, holidays, etc.
- Proficiency in use of English language with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Spanish as a second language is highly desired.
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Need to be creative, adaptable and able to accurately work with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to operate a forklift or can be trained to meet certification standards to operate a forklift.
- Complete a background and drug test screening.
- Must have manual dexterity to perform computer skills.
Working Conditions:
- Environment includes an expansive refrigerated warehouse, where the temperature averages a constant 55 degrees (except office areas). The background noise approaches 70 dcbs.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. with or without accommodation
- Position requires sitting, standing, walking and bending, squatting, and crawling on a regular basis
