Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Escort guests to their tables and ensure they are seated comfortably
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently
- Communicate with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth service flow
- Provide menus, answer questions, and make recommendations regarding food and beverage options
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner
- Maintain knowledge of daily specials, menu changes, and restaurant promotions
- Ensure the dining area is clean, organized, and properly set up for service
- Assist with coordinating special events or private dining arrangements
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Maitre d' or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with guests, staff, and management
- Proficiency in using Yelp Guest Manager or similar restaurant management software is preferred
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Knowledge of food service and restaurant operations
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with professionalism
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
