Company Overview : Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Shop Helper with successful and progressive experience in performing various manual tasks associated with the shop operations.
Position Summary : The successful candidate shall have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a mechanical shop and have a clean driving record.
Responsibilities :
- Clean-up, general labor, and equipment operating
- Cleaning and organizing in the shop
- Comfortable working with your hands and problem-solving
- Understanding tools and parts to make sure all assignments can be completed on time
- Communicate with others in the shop to ensure efficiency and safety
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely
- Quickly changing tasks depending on what is a priority within the shop
- Must understand and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures
- Complete daily checklist of inventories
- Clean and maintain shop vehicles
- Unload freight deliveries as needed
- Parts runner as needed
- Organize and maintain shop and yard in a neat and orderly fashion
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a mechanic shop or related field
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Has basic mechanical knowledge is a big plus
- Able to understand Verbal instructions clearly
Necessary Attributes :
- Must possess the ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles
- Team player and with good interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with good verbal communication skills
- Reliance on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Dedicated and hard-working
