GENERAL SUMMARY:
Assist QA Manager in daily supervision of QA Technicians and the quality control program to ensure products meet established standards. Oversee the operation and functioning of all lab equipment and make recommendations regarding preventative maintenance and repair or replacement. Work with other departments to determine the cause of non-conformity and suggest appropriate adjustments to correct.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise, train and develop QA staff and oversee daily operations of the department.
- Promote quality standards and performance improvement throughout the organization.
- Initiate and aid in the investigation of non-conforming products, including determining the root cause and recommending corrective action.
- Maintaining controls and documentation
- Responsible for quality related communication coordination between all shifts and other departments.
- Responsible for QA Department work scheduling, employee evaluations and training.
- Oversee all aspects of metrology for all departments.
- Identify needs or problems and assist in determining appropriate course of action.
- Implement company policies and procedures.
- Ensure a safe work environment.
- Perform Quality Assurance Technician III level duties.
- Other responsibilities as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Good understanding of quality and manufacturing processes, implementation and flow.
- Background experience in Quality
- Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret customer specifications, or technical procedures
- Ability to learn and understand all facets of our minting operation
- Hands on leadership abilities
- Experience and understanding of QMS, MRP and ISO 9001.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Must have experience with MS Office applications
- Must be able to use simple and complex measuring and analytical tools
- Strong organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to details
- Able to set priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate with all departments, co-workers and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
- Ability to successfully deal with multiple priorities, and multitask
- Excellent people skills
- Must be bondable.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Manufacturing, Quality or Project Management; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
