The Accountant is responsible to assist with the monthly close, budgeting and forecasting, audits, and other various day-to-day activities.  This position also assists with the inquires and requests related to tax compliance and various audits. 

In this position you will use your experience to:

  • Audit Concur Expense Report system and generate expense report journal entries.
  • Entering various journal entries related to U.S. close (headcount, prepaid, Interco. charges with related parties that require translation, accruals, and preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Assist with various budget and forecast requests
  • Assist with closing international books (monthly entries, review, reconciliations, and consolidations).
  • Update accrual analyses to confirm forecasts and spending.
  • Update reports and prepare analyses for prepaid, accounts receivable, legal, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist with Fixed Assets Sage system and Debt payments/activity
  • Assist with calculating Commissions and third-party Royalties
  • Assist with assembly and distribution of Monthly Consolidated Financial packet
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for small Japanese banks.
  • Assist with the preparation of Sales and Use Taxes for various states.
  • Assist with United Pass Plus analysis
  • Maintain Files of Monthly reports and account analysis.
  • Assist to complete Quarterly: government Census reports, tax filings and financial reporting
  • Collect and file reports and analysis requested by the auditors on the Prepared by Client (PBC) list.
  • Special projects as assigned

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • CPA Certification a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office with high proficiency in Excel
  • Demonstrated expertise with financial modeling/analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills
  • Must be team-oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams
  • Attention to detail 
  • Ability to make sound judgment decisions
  • Planning and organization: an ability to plan and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines
