Solar Installer I (entry level laborer)- Tucson, Az

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17 $22.00 an hour, based on experience
Monthly Incentive: can make up to $300.00
Work Location: Multiple Locations
Shift / Schedule: 8-10-hour workday
Travel: Travel within the county 80%, outside county 20%

Responsibilities:
- The Solar Installer is an entry-level position that assists the other crew members, such as the Solar Crew Lead and Solar Roof Lead.
- The responsibilities and duties of the Installer will vary based on the needs of the other crew members.
- The selected candidate must use safe practices while working.
- Clean or prepare sites to eliminate possible hazards.
- Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes.
- Other tasks as assigned by Leads will be required.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- The ability to travel as required is a requirement
- Experience working with solar projects & solar installation is preferred but not required.
- Construction experience is preferred but not required.
- Represent the company with respect, dignity, and professionalism
- Be dependable. Show up on time and ready to learn
- The ability to convey a positive and professional image while upholding SunUp America Culture is required.
Physical requirements:
- The ability to perform heavy lifting, pushing & pulling of material weighing 50 pounds is required.
- The ability to squat, crawl and work in awkward positions & confined spaces is required.
- Working on roof heights, slopes, and roof types are required.
- The ability to work in extreme environments such as the hot sun, cold outdoor weather, crawl spaces, and more is required.
