The Division of University Advancement at the State University of New York at Oneonta invites applications for the position of Associate Director of Development. Expectations include, but are not limited to, working closely with the Director of Development and Director of the Fund for Oneonta to build the 1889 Society, SUNY Oneonta's leadership annual giving society. Additionally, this position is responsible for developing and executing a series of engaging fundraising and donor events.
The Division of University Advancement works to raise charitable gifts and grants, strengthen alumni programs, traditions and networks, and build sustaining long-term relationships that enhance the financial resources, reputation and visibility of the college. Duties include but are not limited to: Lead all cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for the 1889 Society and prospective members, including the development of a strategic communication plan; increase recent graduate membership in the 1889 Society by conducting at least 40 personal contacts or visits annually with SUNY Oneonta graduates of the last 15 years; Contribute to the development of solicitations, stewardship, and digital communications; plan and implement SUNY Oneonta's fundraising and donor events, including the Celebration of Giving, named gift dedications, regional donor events, and the 1889 Society event series; Develop and implement a solicitation strategy for SUNY Oneonta alumni celebrating their 50th, 40th, and 25th reunions; coordinate with the Financial Aid Office and other campus colleagues to ensure that all SUNY Oneonta Foundation scholarships and funds are awarded annually.
