Job Summary:
Coordinate hospital clinical and filed internship assignments with area hospitals an EMS agency.
Maintain regular communication with clinical managers, supervisors and preceptors at clinical & field sites.
Review and audit student records for compliance.
Administer preceptor training program.
Conduct ad hoc site visits to ensure program compliance standards are maintained
Assist the ALS coordinator in preparing and maintaining records to insure the integrity, efficiency and effectiveness of the course. Adhere to curriculum standards as regulated by; NYS DOH BEMS, NEMSES, CoAEMSP, CAAHEP, NRP.
Maintain a professional relationship with students, colleagues and the community.
Provide access to students through electronic communication, regular office hours and other appropriate methods.
Provide advice and assistance to students regarding clinical or field internship specific issues.
Conduct classroom and laboratory sessions in accordance with lesson objectives as assigned by the program director or ALS coordinator lead instructor; demonstrate skill and/or knowledge in teaching discipline.
Conduct skills proficiency verification, scenario competencies and other student evaluations as necessary
Participate in scheduled program or institutional service activities as needed.
Participate in department, BEMS meetings and or committees as needed.
Participate in UEM activities, community education, recruitment and or special programs.
Participate in activities required to maintain program accreditation standards.
Participate in the planning process by assisting in the development of objectives, goals and establishing budget priorities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Paramedic Training, healthcare or education related field. NYS EMT-Paramedic Certification, NYS Instructor Coordinator Certification and current AHA Certified Instructor in BLS, ACLS and PALS is required. At least 5 years experience working as an active Paramedic in NYS and instructional experience.

Work Days:
Hours to flex based on programmatic needs. AM / PM & occasional weekend hours will be required of this position. 20 per week /-

The salary range depicted is based on full time, 1.0 FTE and would be prorated accordingly for less than 1.0 FTE.
