The Professional Development Program Manager is an innovative nurse who is passionate about elevating nursing through ongoing professional development, and nursing excellence! Specific duties include managing the shared governance program, Clinical Advancement Program, Nursing Certification Program, Tuition Assistance Program, Preceptor Development Program and the Mentorship and Succession Planning Program. This position will supervise the Professional Development Program Assistant. Reports to the Associate Director of Nursing Practice Excellence.
NYS Licensed/Registered (or eligible) Registered Nurse required. Bachelors in Nursing and three years acute care post licensure RN experience required. Must have strong organizational skills to include excellent communication skills both verbal and written and must be competent in Microsoft Office products. CPR-BLS required by time of appointment.
Outgoing personality with creative & innovative ideas to elevate nursing excellence to the next level. Prefer candidates with leadership or nursing certification and with experience with professional development.
Mon-Friday, with occasional off shifts based on operational needs
